Advertising Sales Manager

The Advertising Sales Manager will partner with industry leading companies to create customized solutions that assist our partners in achieving their marketing and advertising goals. Responsibilities include providing leadership and coordination of October Research’s sales, including but not limited to advertising and sponsorships for five publications, webinars and an annual conference. Marketing and promotional activities are also performed for the purpose of increasing overall sales.The position requires the development and the implementation of sales and marketing strategy, as well as monitoring and analyzing sales and marketing activities against goals. Position is based in the company office located in Richfield, Ohio; suburb of Cleveland/Akron area.

October Research, LLC offers a competitive base salary with an uncapped commission plan.

Required Qualifications:

– Minimum of 3-5 years of cross-platform sales success
– A proven track record of achieving goals and growing business
– Outstanding account management and client service, solid relationships at the client and agency level
– Ability to work in a fast paced environment
– Deadline driven with a strong sense of urgency & achievement
– Resourcefulness and creative problem solving
– Superb analytical skills
– Polished presentation skills
– Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
– Team player
– Willing to travel and represent the company at key industry events and client visits approximately 5-10% of the year
– Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

– Minimum Bachelor’s degree or commensurate combination of experience
– Strong understanding of social media platforms including LinkedIn and Twitter
– Experience with Google Ads and advertising tracking software programs
– Ability to quickly grasp complex business concepts and express them in clear language
– Flexible and open to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within compressed timeframes
– Conference experience a plus
– An interest in and understanding of the real estate industry

Job Responsibilities:

-Develop yearly sales plans that outline revenue goals, sales activities resource allocations, expense estimates, and promotional activity
-Direct and coordinate sales marketing activities
-Develop new customers and maintain existing customers
-Develop strategies and plans to identify new sales and sponsorship opportunities
-Directly manage existing advertising and sponsorship accounts, and develop a new base from competitive print and on-line publications
-Participate in the development of new advertising solutions
-Supervise the development of critical sales material (media-kit) including the preparation and the delivery of this material throughout the year
-Monitor, track and produce funnel/sales opportunity reports
-Work with marketing team to develop outreach programs to help support sales
-Track and analyze client advertising data to proactively identify opportunities for optimization
– Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
– Thorough understanding of branding principles and tactics through multimedia
– Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task and set priorities within tight timelines and high client expectations
