Keynote Speakers
Each year, we bring to the Summit stage noted speakers who offer our attendees timely insight into business and regulatory affairs. We are particularly pleased that Mark Sniderman of the Federal Reserve Bank will be on hand this year to address the dramatic regulatory sea change we are experiencing. And we welcome veteran CEO Doug Smith who will provide powerful insight into the very essence of leadership and organizational effectiveness in times of crisis and change.
You won’t want to miss either of these exciting and dynamic speakers for the 2012 National Settlement Services and Compliance Summit:
Dr. Mark Sniderman is executive vice president and chief policy officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. He is responsible for guiding the Bank’s economic research and community development efforts.
Dr. Sniderman joined the Federal Reserve Bank’s research department as an economist in 1976. He was appointed assistant vice president in 1983, vice president and associate director of research in 1986, and senior vice president and director of research in 1995. He assumed his current position in 2007.
Dr. Sniderman served as senior economist for economic policy analysis for the U.S. Senate Budget Committee in Washington, D.C., while on leave from the Federal Reserve. Before joining the Federal Reserve, he held teaching and research positions as a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He is a past president of the Cleveland Association for Business Economics.
A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Dr. Sniderman earned a bachelor’s degree from Case Western Reserve University and a master’s and doctoral degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

He works with individuals and organizations with a focus on emerging companies, CEO’s who are eager to learn and enhance their leadership skills, and not-for-profit organizations.
Smith teaches an undergraduate winter term course at DePauw University on happiness. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree and an Honorary Doctorate from DePauw University and a Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. |
