The Legal Description celebrates 10 years as industry’s premier news source

The Legal Description, an October Research Corporation publication focused on the settlement services industry’s regulatory and compliance matters, is celebrating a major milestone during the month of September. Founded in 2001, The Legal Description is proud to announce the celebration of its 10th year as the first and only full-time, independent newsroom dedicated to the legislative, regulatory and legal issues impacting settlement services providers.

Beginning with a bi-weekly print publication, The Legal Description’s coverage and delivery channels evolved in the past decade. The publication now features breaking e-news updates, an extensive online archive, and a library of tip sheets, white papers, industry links and other resources including video Q&A’s with industry leaders and regulators.

As the industry has adapted to major changes in the last 10 years, from RESPA reform and the mortgage meltdown to financial reform and significant new state regulations, The Legal Description has been there to give readers the information they need to stay compliant.
