It provided me with the best opportunity to combine my sales ability and IT knowledge. What about your job gives you the most satisfaction? Knowing that I've provided my clients the opportunity to be more efficient and do more business.
What challenge really jazzes you? The cold call. The cold call is truly the most reliable measure of a sales person's ability. To be successful, you must be able to instantly adjust your approach to match the prospect's personality, mood and business needs. You must be able to overcome objections on the fly and move the prospect down the sale's path to close the deal. And you must be able to do all this without boring the prospect or appearing too pushy. The rejections are painful and plentiful, but there's nothing like closing a cold call...it's definitely an adrenalin rush. What is the best advice you could give?
Be involved...in all aspects of life. It's really easy to put certain aspects of your life on cruise control. Once that occurs, it becomes easier to take those things for granted and become complacent. This holds true for both personal and professional endeavors. So it’s paramount to approach every facet of life fervently. What is your proudest professional accomplishment?
I've been the number one sales rep in my division two years in a row (2005 & 2006).
What has been the strangest thing that ever happened to you on your job or the most unusual assignment you ever had? Either things have been so tame that nothing stands out...or so many strange things have happened that it all seems normal now. Who has been a significant mentor in your life? My father. If you could have lunch with any person living or historical, who would it be and why? My grandfathers — they had both passed away before I was born and I'd like the opportunity to meet them. What is something unique about you that not many people know about? I would love to write a novel. What is your favorite book or movie? Book: “The Catcher in the Rye” / Movie: “The God Father - Part 2” What do you do to relax? Spend time and play with my kids. What’s the most fulfilling thing you have been involved in within your community and why? I'm involved with a group that provides general home maintenance assistance to senior citizens and the physically challenged. Return to Top View Winners:
