| Name: | David Eisenberg |
| Age: | 38 |
| Title: | Chief Information Officer |
| Organization: | Titleserv |
David Eisenberg has developed and supports Titleserv’s fully web-based processing and integration system, Titletrak, which has created efficient workflows and reduced employees’ costs while providing superior service to both lender clients and applicants.
According to nominator Bill Purschke, EVP Sales and Marketing with Titleserv, “Dave has a unique ability to transform information and requirements from the operational side of the business into technology enhancements that have enormous impact. It is rather hard to quantify some of this, but I can say that our labor to premium costs run in the mid thirties range while the industry average is in the fifties percentile,” said Purschke. What was your first job in the settlement services industry? In 1996 I was hired by Titleserv as the lead software developer charged with building a new suite of software to automate the company.
Why did you become a software designer? As most self-proclaimed geeks will tell you, my love for technology started very young. I decided to pursue computer science in college. What about your job gives you the most satisfaction? Mentoring other talented people and watching them succeed. What challenge really jazzes you? I thrive on coming up with uniquely simple and powerful solutions to difficult problems and watching them work on the production floor. What is your proudest professional accomplishment? Being selected as a finalist for October Research’s 40 Under 40 contest. Could this really have been answered any other way? Seriously, creating our web-based automation software, Titletrak, over the years has been a great accomplishment. I’ve had the opportunity to work with a great team and build integration solutions that have bridged together many different aspects of the workflow process across so many clients, vendors, and third-party providers. Simply watching it all work every day makes me very proud. If you could have lunch with any person living or historical, who would it be and why? Author David Sedaris. His form of self-deprecating humor rings true with me. What is something unique about you that not many people know about? I am a classically trained clarinetist who spent most of his youth in orchestras before deciding to study technology in college. What is your favorite book or movie? Two movies rank equally as my favorites: "The Shawshank Redemption" and "Amadeus." What are you listening to right now on your iPod/CD player/radio? An eclectic mix of rock from Rush and The Grateful Dead to Juliana Hatfield and Liz Phair. What do you do to relax? I like to play guitar while my kids dance around the basement singing wildly out of tune at the top of their lungs. Return to Top View Winners:
