Why did you become involved in the mortgage/technology industries?

My background is manufacturing. In that industry we were always looking for a way to build widgets faster and cheaper while never sacrificing quality. Technology gives mortgage lenders the ability to “build mortgages” faster and cheaper while offering better customer service and a better quality product. Mortgage Cadence has a vision to help the Mortgage Lending arena innovate itself through technology.

What about your job gives you the most satisfaction?

Seeing Mortgage Cadence succeed and seeing each individual’s contribution to that success and how that gives people more confidence and desire to continue to succeed.

What is the best advice you could give?

Always seek opportunity to communicate with others, make your communication clear and succinct, and to get face to face whenever possible and avoid e-mail if you can.

Who has been a significant mentor in your life?

My father and my wife

To what do you attribute your success?

Drive, passion and the relentless pursuit of perfection. I would also add always trying to solve problems once and forever instead of placing band-aids.

If you could have lunch with any person living or historical, who would it be and why?

Winston Churchill, because of his optimism and his ability to inspire those around him in the face on insurmountable odds.

Keane – Under the Iron Sea

What do you do to relax?

On my off time, I enjoy biking, hiking, walking and spending time with my family.
